What are Demands and Needs?
Your Demands and Needs is a statement that sums up what you need your insurance to do for you. For example it may say something like:
“This policy meets the demands and needs of those who require accidental damage, fire and theft cover for their car.”
You can check this to ensure it sums up your insurance need, without all the additional details we provide in your other documents.
What are Terms of Business?
Our Terms of Business will explain things like who we are, who our regulators are, who the insurers are that we work with as your insurance broker, the service we provide you with, your cancellation rights, how to make a complaint, information on fees we charge and information on premium credit agreements and more.
This is a document that is useful to read through and keep somewhere safe so you have it should you ever need it.
What is a Statement of Fact?
Your Statement of Fact contains the answers to all the questions we have asked you, or information we hold about you to provide you with your policy or renewal offer. Your Statement of Fact will contain information like;
· Your personal details
· Your insurance history
· Your vehicle information
· Your use of the vehicle
· Any additional drivers
· Your claims details/ history
· Any convictions
We’ve used this information to provide you with your quote, so if anything is incorrect then it’s important you update us straight away so we can ensure you’re covered by the policy we offer you and it remains valid. Incorrect information can lead to claims not being able to be processed and can invalidate your insurance.
What is an Insurance Product Information Document?
Your Insurance Product Information Document (IPID), is a document that details your cover. This includes information on;
· Who your insurer is
· What is and what isn’t covered in your policy
· Where you’re covered
· What your obligations are
· Your cancellation rights
This is a great document to give you a clear overview of your cover. If you have chosen to add additional products in your policy, you may have more than one IPID.

What is a Schedule of Insurance?
Your Schedule of Insurance is part of your Policy Documents and forms the contract between you and your insurer. The Schedule contains information such as;
· Your details
· Your policy details
· Your vehicle details
· Endorsements (any limitations on your cover or things we need to clarify)
· Excess information
· A breakdown of your price
Your Schedule of Insurance is an important part of your Policy Documents and we recommend you read this carefully to check you are happy with your cover and you understand any limitations. You can find your Schedule with your Policy Documents on My Account at any time.
What is a Certificate of Insurance?
Your Certificate of Insurance is issued by your insurer and used as proof you are insured, of the vehicle you’re insured to drive and who is insured to drive it. Your Certificate will detail what you’re insured to drive the vehicle for, for example domestic, social and pleasure only or if it includes commuting to a place of work. Your Certificate of Insurance will also tell you if you’re insured to drive other vehicles and when your insurance begins and ends.
This document is an important part of your Policy Documents.
Which parts of my documents are most important to read?
It’s important to read all of your documents to ensure your details are correct and that you have the cover you need.
Important details to check include:
· Your personal details – such as your address
· Your vehicle details – such as milage
· Your cover details – including additional drivers and any excess
· Your payment details – check they are up to date
