The quickest and easiest way to renew is online using My Account.
You can renew online by doing the following:
- Login to My Account.
- Select 'Renew policy' on the policy you want to update.
- Take some time to read your documents, and check your details are still up to date.
- The 'What happens next?' section gives you the option to choose how you pay for your policy. If you choose to change your payment method, select the method you want to pay by and continue to follow the instructions.
- If you want to continue to pay for your policy by monthly direct debit, then select 'Renew Policy Now' to complete your renewal.
- If you want to continue to pay the full annual price of your policy, then select 'Renew Policy Now', this will take you to the payment screen. Select the card you wish to pay with, or select 'Enter New Card Details' to add a new card.
Once you've renewed your policy, you should then see a 'Thank You' confirmation message. You must renew before your renewal date, or your policy will end and you will be left without cover.
If you'd like to set your policy up to automatically renew each year, you can change this in My Account at any time.
If you choose to automatically renew with us, at your future renewals, you won't need to manually renew your policy to stay covered. We'll do this for you.
When your policy is due to renew, we'll write to you ahead of your renewal date with your renewal invitation giving you plenty of time to review your options.
Your renewal invite will contain your new policy documents and details, including your level of cover, the price of your policy and your product information.
Each year, you would still need to read the policy documents carefully and check your details are still correct and that you're happy with the price of your policy and the cover that it offers.
If you're happy with everything, you can sit back and relax as we'll automatically renew your policy for you. If you need to make a change to your details or your cover, we'll include information in your renewal invite on how you can contact us to do this.
If you do need to make a change, it's best to tell us straight away to make sure you're still covered by your policy throughout the year.
If you notice something you need to update at renewal, or you want to make a change to your policy at any time, you can do this online in My Account.
If you've already received your renewal invitation but need to make changes, you can start a chat with us by clicking on the speech bubble icon in the bottom right corner of the My Account page.
Once the change has been made, you may receive an updated renewal offer with the updated details and cover for you to read through.
Changes you make can sometimes affect the price of your renewal offer. This could be a lower price or a higher price depending on the change.
As long as we still have your up to date, active payment details your payment will be taken as normal.
If you pay by Direct Debit
We'll provide details of your monthly payment amount in your renewal documents, as well as the credit provider your payments are set up with.
Just check your bank details are still correct and head online to PremFina's online portal if you need to change your bank details.
If your payment details are the same, you don't need to do anything. Your Direct Debit will continue to be taken on the same date of each month.
If you pay for your policy annually
As long as we have your correct card details, we'll automatically take your payment ahead of your renewal date.
If your card has expired or you want to change which card we take your payment from, you can update this on My Account.
If you'd like to switch to paying monthly by Direct Debit
- Log in to My Account.
- Select 'Renew Policy' on the relevant policy.
- Use the 'Your Basket' section on the right-hand side of the page to toggle between paying annually or monthly and see a breakdown of the costs involved.
Once you've followed these steps, you just need to select 'Renew Policy Now' and follow the payment instructions.
Yes. If you'd prefer to manually renew your policy then you can change your preference to non-auto renew in My Account at any time or call us to let us know.
If you've already received a renewal invitation then you need to change your preference as soon as possible, as your policy will automatically renew on your renewal date if you haven't updated your preference.
We will always write to you with plenty of time to review your options.
If you change your policy so it doesn't automatically renew, remember you will need to manually renew your policy on My Account or find cover elsewhere.
If your policy is set to automatically renew with us, the last date you can stop the policy from renewing is the day before your renewal date.
You can find your renewal date in your renewal invitation and online in My Account.
If you've chosen not to automatically renew your policy then we will send you a reminder to review your renewal invitation and read your documents.
If your policy is set to automatically renew, we don't send you a reminder to renew your policy as we will do this for you.
If you pay by card, we'll remind you when we're going to take your payment.
If you need to change anything or don't want your policy to renew, you will have plenty of time to contact us.
If you need to change or update your payment details ahead of your renewal date, you can do this at any time in My Account by following these steps:
- Log in to My Account.
- Select 'Manage Policy'.
- Select 'Your Account' followed by 'Your Settings'.
- Check and update the details under 'Saved Card Details'.
If you pay by Direct Debit you can update your bank details on the PremFina customer portal.
We'll do everything we can to ensure your policy doesn't end without you realising.
We'll always write to you via your preferred communication preference to invite you to renew your policy, with plenty of time for you to review your documents, update your details or request changes.
