Close Brothers Premium Finance
Close Brothers will re-attempt to collect the payment from your bank, usually within ten working days, along with their standard £25 default fee. Details of this second collection request will be contained in their notification to you. If this payment is successful you won't need to take any further action.
Should the second collection attempt be unsuccessful, you will be required to make a card payment within a time frame that Close Brothers will provide.
If the payment is missed for any reason other than Insufficient Funds, Close will notify you by post, and Swinton will text if you have provided a valid mobile number. You'll need to make a card payment for the missed collection and the £25 default fee within the time frame provided by Close Brothers.
You can make this payment by logging into their
online portal or calling their 24 hour payment line on 0333 321 8566. Please ensure you have your account reference number to hand. This reference can be found on any correspondence Close Brothers have sent to you.
PremFina
If you miss a payment, or if your Direct Debit is unsuccessful, PremFina will notify you
via SMS, email and post explaining the following:
• A default fee of £27.50 applies, unless stated otherwise.
• PremFina will attempt to collect this payment again within 7-10 days, provided they have valid bank details for you.
• If this second attempt fails or your bank details are invalid, PremFina will send another reminder by email or post within 7-10 days of the original payment due date.
• To avoid cancellation, please check the SMS, email, or letter PremFina sent for your payment deadline.
The email or letter that we send will confirm if another collection attempt is scheduled
and the date they will reapply for payment.
You can bring your account up to date at any point by making a payment via PremFina’s
payment portal here. Before proceeding, the portal will notify
you if a Direct Debit reattempt is already in progress to help you avoid making a
duplicate payment.
